Lust Pearls are a major sponsor of the 35^th Annual Australian Blind Bowlers Association Championships.

Players from all States are gathering in Perth for the National Championships at the Bedford Bowling Club 145 Grand Promenade Bedford from April 30^th to May 8^th 2014. With 9 days of competition the players will be competing for individual and team trophies with points being allocated to an interstate trophy. Competitors are required to play 1, 2 or 3 games per day with each game being of up to 2 hours duration.

Vision impaired lawn bowls are played on standard bowling greens with standard bowls. There are 2 major differences from regular bowls. Those differences are each player has a one-on-one Director (helper) and distance markers are placed along the side of the green to assist the Director in describing the position of the jack and where all bowls finish. We do not use cane balls or bells.

Visitors are most welcome to come and watch the fierce level of competition and friendship that exists between the players and their Directors. More information on vision impaired bowls is available on the website www.vibbwa.org.au

Without the marvellous support of Lust Pearls and other sponsors Western Australia would not be able to send a team to the Annual Championships as all players are on a very limited income, namely a Centrelink pension.
